Canadian student orchestra and choir from Windsor Secondary School will present a wide variety of musical genres in Prague
The Canadian Student Orchestra and Choir from Windsor Secondary School in British Columbia is inspired by the culture of the indigenous peoples of North America and expresses their love of their homeland, their love of art and their joy of life through music. Their repertoire is varied and includes a wide range of genres. The school’s symbol or “mascot” is the wolf, and “Takaya” in the Tsleil-Waututh language refers to the wolf. In relation to choral singing and musical performance as a whole, the wolf’s archetypal qualities are pointed to in the wolf – traditionally it is seen as a protector, symbolizing perseverance, devotion and a cohesive community.
